The humble pencil has been around for thousands of years now in one form or another yet it remains one of the most widely used writing implements in the world. Nearly every office drawer in the world had a pencil inside and not artist would be without one

That video reminds me of Mr. Rogers and the segments he used to do on how stuff gets made. It's always interesting to take a peek into how the things we use every day get put together from start to finish. Of course, many office equipment manufacturer's are also taking a look further into the life cycle of their consumer goods with cradle-to-cradle planning that reclaims materials whenever possible. Neat stuff!
